Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born March 2, 1997), known professionally as Becky G, is an American singer and actress. She first gained recognition in 2011 through cover versions of popular songs uploaded to YouTube. Her debut single, "Becky from the Block", and debut EP, "Play It Again", were released in 2013. In 2014, she achieved mainstream success with the single "Shower", which reached the top twenty of the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, she released her first full Spanish-language single, "Sola", marking her entry into the Latin music market. Gomez has released four studio albums.
